peth through my eyes
This series documents the community around me, mostly the woman and children of a small pottery village, Pethkaldongari, in central India.
2017-2018.
This documentation series explores the relationship of the community with each other and with their surrounding landscapes. While I was living and working within the community, for around 6 months, I became close with the community and took out my camera once in a while to photograph the village. After their fascination with it, I slowly started photographing natural moments when I was with them or posed portraits of them .
Most of the images were taken during the day, when most of the men used to go to work in the neighbouring fields/factories, and the woman and children stayed back and were out in the streets socialising and relaxing.
